Lloyd Richardson

Company Director

Lloyd in conjunction with Sarah Richardson is the co-owner of Access Automation New Zealand. He spent 18 years working in large corporates, with 10 of those years based in the UK. After heading back to NZ and with a passion for property development and automation, he bought the existing business in early 2014.

Lloyd is responsible for demand generation with a key focus on large scale project specification and key installation company management. He also manages the exclusive brand distributorships for the New Zealand and Australian markets. This key role ensures the world’s best products are supplied to New Zealand and robust product knowledge and training is carried out to ensure that consumers’ experience of AANZ products exceed all expectations.

Lloyd is mad about all sports, with his main passion being rugby union, he also dabbles in the odd game of tennis and his main focus is supporting his three daughters in their sporting endeavors.

Sarah Richardson

Company Director & Accounts

Sarah is co-owner of the business with Lloyd and brings to the table a vast array of skills and knowledge. She spent 10 years in the UK working as medical sales manager, having come from events management and a two year stint teaching in Japan.

Sarah graduated from Lincoln University with a Bachelor of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management majoring in Sport Management and in 2002 completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Massey University.

Sarah oversees the business administration hub within the company and ensures the overarching business systems are running like clockwork and compliance is met. She is a passionate sports woman and played senior and representative netball throughout her teenage years. She regularly attends the gym to make sure she can keep up with the couple’s three little girls.

Dave McMahon

Technical Manager

Bringing a sense of innovation and curiosity to all his projects, Dave seeks to simplify the solution to deliver automation that makes life simpler, safer and more secure.

Several years’ installation experience gives Dave insight into making things work. He’s responsible for training our installers and specifying our more complex bespoke systems, so a real-world track-record is essential to anticipating customer needs and delivering high-value solutions that function as promised.

He’d be fascinated to hear from you – whether you need some training to program a residential gate, or for us to design a system to slide a series of 5-ton windows at a conference centre – do get in touch!

Jayden Boylan

Technical Sales

Jayden’s role within the Access Automation NZ business is to provide customers with the best automation products and to back these products with excellent service and communication.

Jayden’s passions for the industry, the products, and what they deliver stands him apart; a leader among his industry colleagues. Assisting in project planning and consulting with customers to assure they get the best outcome are Jayden’s forte.

Outside of work Jayden is a passionate sports man having achieved national representative level in athletics. In his leisure time you’ll find him surfing or snowboarding around the country.

Russell David

Technical Sales & Software Developer

Russell’s role at AANZ encompasses software development, operations, and technical assistance. His in-depth knowledge of anything to do with technology, computing and software development ensures that we have the capability and solutions in-house to cater for even the most demanding projects.

Russ thrives on anything to do with software. With connectivity such a large part of the modern business and home access control requirements, Russ works extensively with our product range, and with his know-how, we can pull together various technologies to find the perfect solution.

Outside of work Russ is an avid skier who can be found hiking in the backcountry looking for untouched snow or riding the park and half-pipe.

Nicholas Aitken

Technical Sales

Nicholas has several years of experience running a South Island gate automation business and has extensive knowledge of FAAC products. His problem solving and specification skills are extensive and Nick has worked across many successful projects with our installation partners.

Nick studied at Otago University, completing his BSc in 2000 and also completed his PG diploma in business management from Canterbury University in 2006. He has had a wide and diversified base of experience. Throughout his career he has developed an aptitude that complements the professional needs for automation specification and installation.

When he’s not specifying automation services, Nicholas is a keen beekeeper, and he has recently bought three cows to kick-start his hobby as a cattle farmer.

Russell Brickhill

Software Architect

Russell is an experienced software architect with a wealth of knowledge in all things related to software and system design. Russell regularly provides the AANZ team with valuable technical input based on years of experience.

Glen Keeley

Marketing

Glen is tasked with the creation of marketing and promotional materials at AANZ. Glen uses his marketing and design skills to produce outstanding resources for the AANZ team and customers.

David Cooper

Marketing

David assists AANZ with marketing, David’s role has included the design of the sign writing on the company vehicles as well as the design of a custom product catalogue.
